How to make a New Dial-Up Networking Connection in Windows

1. From your desktop, Click Start > Settings > Control
Panel > Internet Options > Select Connections Tab > Click on the Setup Button
It
is highly recommended that you delete all other dialup connections that
appear in the connections window and that you delete any AOL adapters that
are located in your local area networking properties.

Click the bottom choice that states 'I want to setup my connection
manually.
Click Next

I Connect through a phone line and a modem. Click Next
4.
Type in the local phone number. Uncheck the box 'Dial using area code and
dialing properties'. Click Next

Type in your username (username is the entire email address associated with
your account). Type in your password. Click Next
6.
Type in the connection name TLCIS Online. Click Next
7.
If you wish to set up your email account now check the Yes radio button
choice. Click Next

If you choose not to setup your email account at this time select the No
radio button and after you click next your will get the finish screen
located at the bottom of this tutorial.

Type in the name you want others to see when they receive mail from you. ie.
John Smith or Smith Family or Bill & Donna Smith Click Next
10.
Your incoming mail server is a POP3. Type mail.tlcis.net in the
Incoming and outgoing server boxes. Click Next
11.
Type your account name (entire email address) and password into the boxes
provided. Check the remember password if you dont want to retype it
every time you check your mail. Click Next
12.
You are finished. If you do not want to connect immediately, uncheck
the connect to box. Click Finish
